Welcome Letter
Alaska Ministry Network:
For this reason, I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:6-7
It is with joyful hearts we invite you to the 2024 Network Conference! We are grateful for the opportunity to be together for this focused time of friendship, enrichment, and to conduct business. This year’s conference will be hosted by Muldoon Community Assembly in Anchorage, April 29th – May 2nd. The selected theme for our time together is: “Next.”
Every opportunity that we gather is special, but this year will be especially significant. After serving as our Superintendent with distinction for 16 years, Superintendent Bill Welch has announced that he will not seek another term. The AKMN Presbytery has requested that we set aside Monday night to celebrate Pastor Bill and Dori. We invite each of you to attend this banquet celebration to honor this wonderful couple who has significantly impacted our lives, our state, and our Fellowship in so many ways.
The Celebration Banquet will be held Monday, April 29th at 6:00p.m. at the Egan Center (555 W 5th Avenue) in downtown Anchorage. There will be a charge of $35 per person for early registration. After April 21st, the cost will increase to $45 per person. We do not want any ministers to miss this event because of the cost. If you are unable to cover the price of the ticket, please let the office know before the April 21st deadline and they will assist you.
The Alaska Missions component that is traditionally highlighted on Monday night will be covered in a different slot during the week. Once again, this year, we will be presenting the Bethel/HUB1 Project as the Alaska Missions Project and are asking that you continue to support this strategic initiative for another year.
We are blessed to welcome amazing speakers this year. Rick Dubose serves as the Assistant General Superintendent for the Assemblies of God, and will be the featured speaker on Wednesday night, the Men’s Luncheon, and Thursday night. Elly Marroquin serves as the National Director for Christian Education and Discipleship for the Assemblies of God. She will be the featured speaker on Tuesday night and at the Women’s Luncheon. On Wednesday morning, our guests will be presenting seminars on “7 Dimensions of a Spirit-Filled Disciple” and “Bible Engagement.”
This packet has been prepared to inform and assist you with your preparations for Network Conference. Please know that you are an important part of what God is doing in Alaska and your participation is vital. So, if you have any questions or need additional information, the office staff is always ready to serve you.
Please be in prayer for our week together and let expectancy rise in your heart for God to move in profound ways. May we be sensitive to His voice, alert to His assignment, and doers of the Word to fulfill His call on our lives. As we head into the “Next,” let us be positioned in faith and open to the limitless possibilities of what God is doing to enlarge His Kingdom in Alaska and beyond!
Sincerely in Christ,
Jeremy Davis
